Cranberry Coffeehouse: Claudia Schmidt and Sally Rogers.

Date:
04/29/2018 - 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Location:
Unitarian Universalist 183 Riverside Dr. Bing

At 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, the Cranberry Coffeehouse presents a special "extra" to our regularly scheduled season: Claudia Schmidt and Sally Rogers. The duo has been performing for four decades, often in solo ventures. Claudia moves seamlessly between folk, jazz and theater while Sally is well known in the folk world, has created celebrated children's music, and writes for community theater. When Sally and Claudia joined each other on stage 35 years ago, something about their musical chemistry took them to a new and different place.

The Vox Hunters at Cranberry

Date:
11/18/2017 - 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Location:
Unitarian Universalist 183 Riverside Dr. Bing

On Saturday, November 18, the Cranberry Coffeehouse welcomes The Vox Hunters. Armand Aromin and Benedict Gagliardi are musically bound by a shared love of traditional folk music. Though originally united through Irish instrumental music, they share an enthusiastic affinity for an ever-growing amalgam of songs, both inside and far outside the realm of folk music. With a pair of oft-harmonizing voices accompanied by fiddle, free reeds, and tenor guitar, The Vox Hunters present an exciting and eclectic repertoire of traditional folk songs and driving dance tunes.

The coffeehouse encourages all musicians, vocalists, storytellers and dancers to share their talent in the middle set, with performances limited to 5 minutes.
