“Eye of the Beholder” Art Exhibit opens March First Friday at the Broome County Arts Council
As an artist, Lori Farist’s ultimate goal is to invoke emotion from the viewer. To do this she focuses on simplifying shapes, colors, and light so that she doesn’t get bogged down on the perfection of details but to concentrate on the information that stirs the soul. Consequently her art is a balance between expressionism and realism - where the physical meets the spiritual. Lori Farist’s “Eye of the Beholder” Art Exhibit opens March 3rd at the Broome County Arts Council with a First Friday Reception from 6-9pm. Exhibit is also open to the public M-F, 11-5, through March 24th. The Broome County Arts Council is located at 81 State Street, Suite 501, Binghamton.
