Cranberry Coffeehouse John Kirk and Trish Miller
January 19 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The Cranberry Coffee house presents: John Kirk and Trish Miller with guest Joel Rosenberger at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton, 183 Riverside Dr., Binghamton.
As the winter wind blow, there is warmth to be found in a concert by John and Trish with special guest Joel Rosenberger. The show features lively fiddle tunes, fancy footwork and folk songs. Highlights of their program include John’s fiddlin’ and Trish’s dynamic clog dancing. Joel adds colorful, musical breaks on accordion, tenor banjo and Irish harp. Their selections include traditional folk songs and fiddle tunes, originals, historical, sentimental and funny pieces. Some tunes are toe-tappin’ barn-burners!
This year, John released several new recordings, so many of the songs and tunes for this concert are new to Binghamton audience.
Sing Out magazine said of John’s performance: “John Kirk is a fine player on all his instruments and he sings beautifully. With such a widely varied repertoire, there’s really something here for everyone. These folks are worth seeking out.”
During the middle set, audience members are invited to sing a song or play a tune. Five-minute maximum.
There is a suggested minimum donation of $10 per person, collected at the door. Handicapped parking is available in front of the church. Goodies will be available for purchase from the Cranberry Coffeehouse kitchen. For more details, visit: www.cranberrycoffeehouse.org or email email@example.com or call 754-9437.
