This year, 80 artworks are featured from students at ten area high schools and will be displayed at Artisan Gallery and Art Path Gallery throughout the month. We are proud to offer this opportunity to honor the hardworking student artists and teachers in Broome County. • Binghamton Photo: Expired II. Eric Yetter. From Yetter: “This show largely uses images shot on expired film.  I may purchase a box lot at an auction that includes a camera and film or expired film in a junk shop or thrift store.  To work with expired film, I need to let go of my expectations of what I will see once my film is developed.  I may get color changes or graininess or, all too often, nothing at all.  I have come to embrace this loss of control and expectation.  I am reminded that I am not in charge of how things will turn out.  I take shots of things that strike me; I get to enjoy that instant and then see later if it has been captured for you to enjoy or if I just get to keep it for myself.  There can be joy in an empty roll, too.  Please enjoy these moments that made it.” (6pm-9pm).
  • The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier: Luck of the Draw. Creative Hive. Come experience a one-of-a-kind art show at the Discovery Center, showcasing stunning artwork created by the talented students of The Creative Hive! This vibrant exhibit highlights luck symbols and traditions from diverse cultures! Perfect for kids and families, this interactive display invites you to explore and celebrate these meaningful symbols of good fortune and heritage. (4pm-7pm).
  • The Cooperative Gallery: Put your Slippers On by Ken Weir. So Far by David Higgins. For Put Your Slippers On: “A painting of a beautiful woman has such power, and lively, colorful patterns provide the perfect counterpoint. So ‘Put Your Slippers On’” For So Far: “David divides his time between realistic oil landscapes and small mixed-media dioramas. He has exhibited widely across the Northeast, including shows at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester and a solo show at the Roberson Museum in Binghamton.  He is also a staff writer for Mountain Home magazine.” (5pm-9pm)
  • Just Breathe, Ex-hale Gallery: JB Loves Dogs. Shauna Stiles. Just Breathe community dog owners share their photo photos of their fur babies! Community gathering and dogs welcome! (6pm-9pm)
