English Country Dance
September 25, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Binghamton English Country Dancers’ fall series of eight Wednesday night dances will start on September 25, 2019, 7:30 — 9:30 p.m.
Callers are Terry Glasspool and Deborah Courville.
Live music is provided by Charlene Thomson, Lee and Julian Shepherd and allen lutins.
What is English Country Dancing? While this traditional form of dance has been around for several hundred years, and evolved into square and contra dancing, it still thrives in its own right, danced all around the world. Some love ECD for the beautiful tunes that make the heart swell. Others, for the beautiful patterns created as they dance and weave. At times, dancers are simply swept away as they become one with the music. In Binghamton, we are lucky to have fine instructors and live music.
Beginners welcome; no partner needed. Bring clean shoes and a snack to share.
