On Saturday, September 15 the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society will host a day-long event featuring artists and musicians on the porches of the Town of Maine. We are now accepting applications from area artists who would like to display, demonstrate, and/or sell their works on porches throughout the town.
Please pass this link to the application on to anyone who would be interested in participating at The Maine Fest. This year’s fest will be celebrating the work of local artist Clarence Stratton.
From the Application: We are pleased to announce THE MAINE FEST: CELEBRATING THE ART OF CLARENCE STRATTON will be held Saturday, September 15th, 2018. From 10am – 6pm in the hamlet of Maine, New York. The Nanticoke Valley Historical Society is our host and benefactor for a day of art, music, food and family friendly fun on porches, lawns, barns and other buildings. Our town is special and unique and we want to continue that theme in the artisans that will be chosen for this event. We are looking for a wide variety of original work to be displayed and/or sold that are handcrafted. For The Maine Fest we are most interested in showcasing the skills and talents of local artist rather than items related to direct sales, commercial/ business products. Please consider joining us for this event. The following is the application that is due by August 15th, 2018.
