Women in Hebron with featured speaker Laila Hassan

Laila is a Palestinian from a village in the Hebron District in the Israeli occupied West Bank. She and her sister Nawal are the co-founders of the Women in Hebron embroidery and sewing cooperative. There will be opportunity to purchase embroidery from the cooperative. Laila will tell of some of the obstacles that she and her sister faced when they opened a shop in Hebron’s Old City at the height of the second intifada. She will also share stories of life in the villages around Hebron.
