From Indivisible: “We write to you today with sad news and heavy hearts. After suffering a stroke last week, Ami Bar-On passed away last night. She is mourned by her beloved spouse Lisa Tessman and her daughter Yuval Tessman Bar-On, as well as the many, many friends, colleagues, students, and community members whose lives she impacted.
“There will be a Zoom service for Ami tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. Please see below for details on how to join, as well as information on other opportunities to send your remembrances to her family. If you’d like to donate in her honor, organizations are listed at the very bottom of this email, including Fair Fight (the Georgia voting rights group run by Stacey Abrams).
“Ami’s contributions to Indivisible, and to strengthening and protecting democracy overall, were immeasurable. We will always feel fortunate to have benefited from her wisdom, warmth, and fortitude. Her loss is enormous; she will be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.”
