Dominick Davy, BU Professor Missing

UPDATE: Dominic Davy, an Army veteran, father, son, Binghamton University professor, scholar, and activist is missing. He was last seen Friday, April 10th at 4 am at his home on Moss Avenue in Endicott, NY. Dominic, more affectionately known as “Dom”, is 6’1” tall and weighs 190-200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt, dark shorts, and gray/orange sneakers.  He has a piercing in his left ear and nose, and a tattoo on his left arm.

Dom, as an army veteran, typically does his morning run and workout around 4am. However, for him not to come back soon after and to be completely out of contact with his family for days on end, is completely unusual and very concerning. On Friday, April 10th at 5:30pm, his brown jeep was found abandoned and unlocked with its keys in the middle console in front of the 400 block of River Terrace apartments in Endicott, NY. To our knowledge, Dom did not know anyone living in the apartment complex and would have no known motive to be there.

It has now been 11 days since his disappearance, and we have conducted several local search parties, publicized his disappearance over social media, and have distributed missing person flyers. As the days pass, we increasingly are more worried. We are sending this release to increase coverage, help widen our search, and increase jurisdictional communication as we seek to bring Dom home. A reward of $2,000 is now being offered for pertinent information that leads directly to his safe return.

Below are photos of Dominic, links to local media coverage, and a video from some of his students expressing what he meant to them as a professor. We ask that if anyone has any helpful information regarding Dom’s disappearance, please contact the Endicott Police Department at (607)785-3341.
