The New York State Department of Public Service (DPS) and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) are holding regional forums across the state focused on energy affordability, access to energy efficiency and other clean energy solutions in low-income communities. We are having on in Binghamton!

This forum gives us the opportunity to directly express concerns about how our communities are affected by inefficient homes and how that affects our economy, health and well being. Either John Rhodes, the Public Service Commissioner, or Alicia Barton, President and CEO of NYSERDA, will be participating here with other officials.

As our Southern Tier region comrades, we would like to invite you and your leaders to partake in this discussion. The Forum will be on Tuesday, October 23rd from 11am-2pm. We will also have a workshop to prepare for the forum from 11am-1pm on Wednesday October 17th. Both events will be held at the United Presbyterian Church, 42 Chenango Street in Binghamton. If there are members of your group that you would like to come to represent important community perspectives, they are most welcome.

Please RSVP by (one week from mailing) to let us know if you can join us at the workshop by replying to this message. You must RSVP via email to LMIforum@nyserda.ny.gov to reserve a place at the workshop, and space is limited. We would appreciate your copying us on those messages so we know how many people to expect.
