This event honors local activists who are engaged in advancing Citizen Action’s vision of a world based on racial, social, economic, and environmental justice.
This year’s honorees include:
- Cynthia Kirk, Broome County NAACP
- Dara Silberstein, Associate Research Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Binghamton University
- DAROC (Divestment, Accountability, and Reinvestment in Our Community) Broome County, a coalition of Broome County organizations working to divest from the carceral state, reinvest in community, and hold police accountable.
