WHAT WOULD ROD SERLING SAY

What would Rod Serling say about his neighborhood park.  Who would even consider damaging or destroying a park, especially one for ALL children.  (Recreation Park)

Was the person(s) deprived or seeking revenge?  In vengence, an eye for an eye, there is no resolution to a problem; it just continues on like Israel/Palestine or one religion or political dogma against another.  Someone gets hurt, even the perpetrator, usually in punishment.

If one is deprived of spirit, love, belonging, they are redeemable.  The community has failed them somehow.  They can find a new way.  They can learn from their mistakes with the right community support.

So, I looked to see what Rod would say –

  • I happen to think that the singular evil of our time is prejudice. It is from this evil that all other evils grow and multiply. In almost everything I’ve written there is a thread of this: man’s seemingly palpable need to dislike someone other than himself.  Rod Serling
